Key Responsibilities as a Senior Urban Designer
- Lead and contribute to the design and delivery of urban masterplans, regeneration projects, and mixed-use developments.
- Develop high-quality concept designs, frameworks, and public realm strategies.
- Collaborate with planners, architects, and local authorities to ensure design excellence.
- Engage with stakeholders, clients, and communities to create innovative and people-focused urban spaces.
- Oversee junior designers, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
- Prepare and present design reports, feasibility studies, and consultation materials.
Essential for the Senior Urban Designer
- Degree or Master's in Urban Design, Architecture, or Landscape Architecture.
- Five or more years of experience in urban design, masterplanning, or regeneration projects.
- Strong design and graphic communication skills (AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, GIS preferred).
- Knowledge of UK planning policies and urban design principles.
- Experience in leading projects and managing stakeholders.
- Passion for creating sustainable, inclusive, and high-quality urban spaces.
