Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician

Initial 12 Month Contract - highly likely to be extended

Hours 6:30am – 15:00pm Mon-Thurs 6.30am – 12 Noon Fri

Overtime could be available

 Competitive hourly rates available – Umbrella or PAYE

We’re looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to provide support at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility near Leicester. Ideally you will have a background in mechanical and electrical maintenance gained from an industrial/ manufacturing environment.

What will you do:

  • Maintaining equipment and using a computerised maintenance system.
  • Responding to equipment breakdowns and completing repairs to equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions on industrial/assembly equipment, machinery and building as required.
  • Perform preventative maintenance as per schedules.
  • Order replacement parts and stocks.

What Qualifications and experience are needed:

  • You will have successfully completed an apprenticeship or equivalent qualification and have demonstrated experience in both Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance.
  • Have a fully flexible approach to the job role & responsibilities and prepared to carryout “out of hours working” as required.
  • The ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions/procedures.
  • Good critical thinking skills, necessary to get to the root cause of issues.
  • Experience in using PLC based systems would be an advantage
