Location: Desford, UK
Contract Duration: 12 Months (09/12/2024 - 08/12/2025)

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise across multiple maintenance disciplines to ensure the smooth operation of machinery, equipment, and facilities.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and assign tasks for equipment repair and parts replacement using hand and power tools.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance to maintain efficient machinery, systems, and building conditions.
  • Inspect and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions and recommend repair actions.
  • Review and evaluate the scope and costs of maintenance and repair projects.
  • Assign and supervise tasks such as dismantling equipment using hoists, cranes, and tools to access defective parts.
  • Guide staff in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues using blueprints, manuals, and catalogues.


Essential Skills:

  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities with a focus on team support and constructive feedback.
  • In-depth knowledge of machinery and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of production processes, quality control, and cost-efficiency strategies.
  • Proficient in applying engineering principles and technology to practical scenarios.
  • Excellent communication, creativity, problem-solving, and analytic skills.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
