Procurement Assistant

Wiltshire

Salary: 27,000 - 28,000 per year

Our client is a leading specialist in the manufacturing sector and is currently seeking a Procurement Assistant to join their team during a dynamic growth phase.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Production Manager to handle purchase orders, source and compare supplier quotes, maintain strong supplier relationships, and ensure goods are delivered on time.
  • Provide the sales team with accurate pricing and lead time information for purchased materials.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • 1-2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
  • Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
  • Understanding of the full purchasing cycle, including purchase order management.
  • Knowledge of procurement documentation and supply chain processes.
  • Awareness of inventory classifications and stock management.
  • Experience in liaising with external suppliers and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and quality control procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Experience entering data into an ERP system.
  • Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with different departments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Hours & Benefits:
