An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Programmer/Operator to join a precision engineering team. This role offers a chance to work in a highly skilled environment, producing precision parts and tooling for cutting-edge manufacturing projects.The RoleAs a CNC Programmer/Operator, you will:* Create and manage CNC programs for various machinery, including CNC lathes, machining centers, EDM, laser cutting, and inspection systems.* Update existing programs following design changes and oversee program control.* Support production by calibrating tooling and operating machinery when necessary.* Provide mentorship to apprentices and contribute to process improvement initiatives.* Assist in the introduction of new machinery and processes.What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate will bring:* Extensive experience programming and operating CNC machines.* Proficiency in CAD CAM/offline programming and interpreting engineering drawings.* A minimum of City & Guilds or equivalent mechanical qualification.* Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with Lean manufacturing principles.* Familiarity with standards such as ISO9001, ISO14001, and IATF16949.* PC skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.Desirable Skills:* Experience with laser cutting machinery (training can be provided).* Knowledge of process optimization tools, such as SMED and Poka Yoke.What's on Offer* Competitive hourly rate with overtime availability.* Annual bonus schemes.* Enhanced pension contributions.* Private healthcare benefits and employee assistance program.* 25 days of flexible holiday.* Opportunities for training and professional development.* A clean, modern working environment with excellent facilities.Working HoursMonday to Thursday: 07:30 am - 4:30 pm and Friday: 07:30 am - 12:30 pm
