We are currently partnering with a leading Housing Association based in Wiltshire, who are recruiting for a Fire Safety Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time position with a salary banding of £52,000 - £57,000 per annum and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Taking responsibility for the organisation’s fire safety obligations, focused on domestic dwellings
- Leading on the contract administration and management of major fire safety contracts, ensuring they are within budget and meeting specified KPIs
- Overseeing fire safety construction projects, including but not limited to Compartmentation and fire stopping projects
- Serving as the primary contact for all matters relating to the Fire Safety Act 2021 and the Fire Safety Order 2005
- Managing and coordinating fire safety upgrades and programmes
- Directly line managing a team of in house contractors and administrators
- Monitoring and controlling budgets for all fire safety projects and conducting detailed cost analysis
- Upholding all 'Golden Thread’ information, ensuring data is accurate and robust
- Completing pre and post inspections of work, in particular relating to the work of third party contractors
- Ensuring all CDM requirements are met
- Tendering for and procuring contractors
Requirements:
- Minimum of a HND in construction or a related discipline
- Strong background in fire safety
- Working knowledge of The Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021 and Regulatory Reform order 2005
