The companyHays Senior Finance is exclusively partnering with a 16m turnover family owned business based on the outskirts of Devizies. The role
- Oversee the day-to-day functions of the finance department (team of 4)
- Develop and implement finance procedures to meet business and finance department needs
- Daily management of Accounting IT system providing support throughout the business
DetailsLead the company's accounting function with the support of the finance team including:
- Accurate production of monthly consolidated management accounts
- Completion of balance sheet reconciliations at month end
- Continually maintain inter company accounts
- Daily bank reconciliations for the companies of the group
- Ultimate responsibility for the Accounting IT system including fault logging and resolution, training and reporting.
- Ensure the company's finance systems and processes are compliant, robust and support current activities and future growth.
- Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management & policies
- Ultimate responsibility and daily management of Invoice Financing facility
- Ensure budgeting processes are implemented and reviewed.
- Present annual accounts to investors/ Auditors
- Ensure regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met
- Manage company policies and processes regarding capital requirements, debt, tax, equity, disposals and acquisitions
- Main point of contact for bank and auditors
Skills needed
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships with people at all levels
- Methodical approach with attention to detail
- Prior experience and working knowledge of an accounts system (Access, SAP, SAGE etc)
- Excellent level of numeracy and literacy
- Excellent knowledge and experience of MS Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs) and Word
- Flexible approach to working
