My client is searching for a Family Solicitor to join their offices based in Devizes, Wiltshire on a hybrid basis.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and expanding the firms divorce and separation services. This role demands a high level of professionalism, leadership, and legal expertise in family law, specifically in matters related to divorce and separation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of complex divorce and separation (ToLATA) cases, including those involving international elements, business assets and trusts.• Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of family law matters, including matrimonial finance, child arrangements, and prenuptial agreements.• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the department’s services and client satisfaction.• Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and support staff within the team.• Liaise with other departments to ensure a comprehensive service to our clients.• Participate in business development activities, including networking with potential clients and conducting seminars and workshops.• Work with the marketing manager and the partners to develop a professional reputation that attracts new clients and business to the team and the firm generally.

At present the family team covers both childcare and private client divorce and separation, the childcare side is well-established and very well regarded. In the longer-term, consideration is being given to dividing the two teams and for the private client team to stand alone, ideally lead by this applicant.

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 6 years PQE in family law.• Proven track record in handling complex divorce cases and high-net-worth clients.• Strong leadership skills and ideally experience in managing others to some degree, with an appetite to develop this skill.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations delicately.• Commitment to maintaining high legal ethical standards and professionalism.• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
