Join our Conveyancing department at a well established Law Firm as a Legal Secretary, where you will provide high-quality support to our lawyers, enabling them to focus on more technical and complex matters. This role is crucial in maintaining strong working relationships with our team and clients, contributing to our vision of making the business an inspiring and successful place to work.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Handle client matters appropriately and provide a professional and friendly service, recognising the emotional context of clients’ situations.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents as required.
  • Prepare files for billing and manage the administrative aspects of client cases.
  • Screen incoming calls, sort and prioritise mail, emails, and messages to ensure efficient communication.
  • Understand and commit to the LEXCEL & Investors in People standards and the requirements of the Law Society.
  • Be familiar with the Solicitors Accounts Rules affecting the receipt and payment into the bank of cheques and the accounting of client monies.
  • Liaise with clients and other parties to update and ensure awareness of the transaction process at appropriate times.
