We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Cell Leader to oversee one of the departments at a leading precision engineering manufacturer. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a management role, leading a team, optimizing production, and ensuring high-quality output.
The Role:As a Manufacturing Cell Leader, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the manufacturing cell, ensuring production efficiency, schedule management, and quality assurance. You will also take an active hands-on approach to support production when required.
Your key responsibilities will include:* Supervising & Supporting the Cell team to ensure all operators are productive, efficient, and working safely.* Monitoring Production Output and ensuring targets are met in line with schedule demands.* Quality Assurance - ensuring all work meets engineering and customer specifications.* Performance & Development - actively managing performance, providing feedback, and taking corrective action where needed.* Managing Sickness Absence and workforce planning.* Flexibility - working outside core hours when required to meet business needs.
What We're Looking For:* Engineering Background - hands-on experience in machine setting, operation, and maintenance.* Technical Knowledge - ability to read engineering drawings & use precision measuring equipment.* Supervisory or Team Leadership Experience - previous experience in a leadership role * Computer Skills - proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.* Continuous Improvement Mindset - ability to drive positive change and problem-solve.* Strong Communication & Leadership Skills - ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
Salary & Hours:Competitive pay: £42-£48K (DOE)Full-time, 39 hours per week (day shift, but flexibility required)
