With a commitment to precision and excellence, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of high-value projects, ensuring optimal outcomes for clients and the business.

The Quantity Surveyor / Estimator will work closely with project teams to ensure projects are financially viable, efficiently costed, and delivered within budget constraints.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough cost estimations for bespoke projects, review and submit tenders, and analyse project requirements for accurate cost projections.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Lead to develop and manage project margins, monitor project costs, and assist with contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive bids, evaluate and negotiate contracts, and reduce wastage.
  • Prepare financial project reports, track project additions, and oversee applications for payments and final account sign-offs.
  • Identify potential risks related to project costs and timelines, and implement strategies to mitigate risks and minimise financial impacts.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within construction or flooring
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software for cost estimating and project management.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm.
