We are seeking an exceptional English Teacher to join an outstanding Ofsted 'Good' 11-16 mixed academy. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated professional to make a significant impact in students' educational journey.
Role Details
- Position: Teacher of English
- Contract Type: Permanent, Full or Part-time (minimum 3 days per week)
- Start Date: January 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter
- Salary: Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS), dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, challenging English lessons across the age-range
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess and monitor student progress
- Support students in achieving their academic potential
- Collaborate with department colleagues
- Contribute to whole-school educational initiatives
Requirements
- Relevant degree in English or related subject
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (applications from recently qualified Teachers or those working towards qualified status are also welcomed
- Ability to teach secondary English language and literature
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion for teaching and student development
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
