We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join an outstanding Ofsted 'Good' 11-16 mixed academy. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated professional to make a significant impact in students' educational journey.

Role Details

  • Position: Teacher of English
  • Contract Type: Permanent, Full or Part-time (minimum 3 days per week)
  • Start Date: January 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter
  • Salary: Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS), dependent on experience
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging English lessons across the age-range
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess and monitor student progress

  • Collaborate with department colleagues
  • Contribute to whole-school educational initiatives
  • Requirements

  • Relevant degree in English or related subject
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (applications from recently qualified Teachers or those working towards qualified status are also welcomed
  • Ability to teach secondary English language and literature
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion for teaching and student development
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
