About Aimee
Aimee lives in her own home supported by a dedicated team of support workers, who support Aimee with her medical needs resulting from Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. EDS is a rare genetic disorder which means that Aimee uses a wheelchair for mobility and has medical needs including a suprapubic catheter. Aimee also has Autism and wants the team around her to understand what her Autism means for her and support her to live the life she chooses.
Aimee has a great sense of humour and is assertive and confident about what she wants from her team. Aimee is a skilled craftswoman and makes cards and gifts using card, fabric and wool. Aimee lives with Poppy, the coolest cat, so her team must love cats if they want to be part of Aimees team. Aimee enjoys playing computer games on all platforms.
Aimee is passionate about the rights of people living with disabilities and campaigns for equality of rights for issues such as accessing the community for wheelchair users.
About you
Were looking for a compassionate, energetic, and positive individual to support Aimee, a resilient and confident person who values kindness and fun. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and flexible, with a good sense of humour and a structured approach to routines. You should be reliable, a good listener, and willing to learn about Aimees medical needs. Above all, youll need to be supportive through both good times and challenges, offering kindness and transparency in all interactions.
About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to oversee the management of Aimees care and support team. This role involves:
- Regularly visiting Aimees home and managing her teams training, rotas, and annual leave
- Overseeing finances for both Aimees service and Seco Support
- Ensuring HR records and systems are up to date for all team members
- Conducting Interviews, supervisions, appraisals, and probation reviews
- Updating risk assessments, support plans, and leading reviews ensuring compliance with CQC standards
- Coordinating with Aimees family and professional team
- Participating in a local on-call service and providing direct support when needed
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong leadership and organisational skills, and a passion for supporting individuals with complex needs.
A diploma or equivalent and experience in managing supported living services is essential.
Full referencing and a full enhanced check of the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) will be required for this position.
