The Quality Engineer will be responsible for dealing with quality issues for important customers, and utilise quality tools to ensure products meet company and industry standards. This role will report to the Quality Lead and will be an opportunity to mentor more junior members of the Quality team.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help foster the safety culture and company's values within the Quality team.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering and other functional support departments to resolve quality problems.
  • Identify and deliver Cost of Poor Quality reduction projects.
  • Risk reduction / RPPM reduction activities and ensures robust process controls are in place.
  • Support the engineering change process from a Quality perspective.
  • Lead APQP activities, PPAP process, quality investigation, and problem-solving team.
  • Support NPI and ECN activities with best-practice automotive standard quality procedures.
  • Support internal projects in different areas of business - cost reduction, H&S, Quality issues, etc.

Profile

  • Experience in a Quality Engineering, or similar role
  • Experience dealing directly with customers
  • PPAP experience
  • A technical background and understanding of mechanical engineering
  • IATF experience/knowledge is preferred but not essential
