Delivery driver - Full clean driving licence essential. Class 2 or 7.5 ton license holders only please. Previous applicants need not apply. Please note the hours are 42.5 each week with no overtime.

The successful applicant will work during opening hours Monday to Friday and on some Saturday mornings on a rota basis.

Their delivery drivers are happy to help with carrying cylinders & equipment to where customers need them, connecting & disconnecting cylinders and providing advice & expertise.

Job description - Based mainly in the Dewsbury branch (with travel to other depots as required, use of company vehicle for travel between depots)

  • Carry out daily, weekly vehicle walk around inspections
  • Comply with all legal requirements in the safe transportation of goods to the customer
  • To deliver LPG Gas, Other Gas Cylinders & Solid Fuels products to their commercial and domestic customers
  • Deliver customer orders accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Review delivery manifest and assist in the routing of your delivery run
  • Assist in the Loading and unloading of your vehicle each day
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of other vehicles where necessary
  • Submit loading list to the administration team before each run
  • Ensure delivery notes or handheld device is signed by receiving party and prove accurate information to allow goods to be invoiced
  • Collect payment from customers who do not have a credit account
  • Document payment method on customers delivery note before submitting to the administration team
  • Assist in the movement of stocked product from warehouse to customer collection point
  • Carry out any other reasonable management instruction as necessitated by the needs of the business

Person Specification

  • Full Driving license (Class 2 or 7.5 ton)
  • FLT trained an advantage but not essential
  • This is a physically demanding role due to the nature of their product range
  • No more than 3 penalty points, Sorry no DR/DD/IN infringements
  • Committed to Delivering high levels of customer delight
  • Friendly, self-motivated and confident
