We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services for a RMN Deputy Ward Manager to join the team within a 32 bedded hospital which is a locked service, supporting two different service user groups:

One focuses upon the active rehabilitation of men with mental health issues. The emphasis is upon stabilising mental health, reducing risks and enhancing independent living skills, with a view to reintegration into the community. This is a 16 bed ward.

The other supports men with dementia, and behaviours that challenge. This is also a 16 bed ward. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to join an established team caring for two groups of patients with Neurodegenerative disorder and Mental illnesses requiring rehabilitation. You will work closely with other members of the MDT and be supported by the site Consultant Psychiatrist.

The post holder will provide day-to-day nursing input on the wards and will receive clinical supervision and support in professional development and CPD.

The role will be primarily focused around the effective delivery of clinical care and working towards improving standards within the clinical areas of the service on one of the wards and to provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager. You will have clinical experience and leadership that provides expertise and confidence to the nursing team and ward overall. They will have defined delegated responsibilities from the Ward Manager.

This is a full time permanent post and offers a salary of £39,847 per annum, plus
