Responsibilities of a SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Support students with SEMH needs in their learning and personal development.
- Assist with small group interventions and 1:1 support.
- Implement strategies to manage and support emotional and behavioural challenges.
- Adapt to different classroom environments and follow school policies.
- Provide a high standard of support and classroom management.
- Encourage and support pupils in their learning journey.
- Work collaboratively with staff and maintain positive relationships.
Requirements SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Experience supporting students with SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and lesson plans.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEMH support (preferred but not essential).
