The company is an established business in the Material Handling industry. Due to further expansion, they now have an exciting newly created opportunity for a Service Engineer to join the team in the Wakefield area. You will be working with a friendly team and working on some interesting equipment. The Service Engineer will be able to swiftly and expertly diagnose and conduct the repair or service in a knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and enthusiastic manner, to the highest standard. They currently have a large customer base which includes a high amount of electrical equipment so any previous electrical knowledge would be advantageous, but not essential
Responsibilities of the Service Engineer
Servicing and repair of trucks as directed by the Service Manager.
Diagnosing the exact nature of each query and repair with a friendly, efficient, 'can-do' attitude.
Completing a report for each job on a PDA system.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

- Vehicle Technician
- Master Technician
- HGV Technician
- Agricultural Engineer
- Roadside Recovery
- Plant Fitter
- FLT Engineer
- Service Engineer in the Material Handling or similar industries
NVQ Level 2 in Plant, Maintenance, or Vehicle - Preferably Apprentice trained
Be well-organized, methodical, and process-driven.
Solutions orientated.
Good at managing own workload and able to cope with pressure.
Present a professional image - be trustworthy, punctual, and polite.
Good team player.
In return, the Service Engineer will be offered the following package.
- Basic Salary £34k to £36k
- Contracted 40-hour week, all overtime paid at time and half OTE £40k +
