An innovative commercial Interior Architects company located in Dewsbury, WF12 are seeking to recruit the services of an Architectural Technician with circa 2-5 years experience to join the business on a permanent full time basis.
Our client who are a small family run business have over 25 years of experience working across the UK designing and developing world class commercial fit out and interior designs in retail, leisure, entertainment and hospitality projects of varying sizes.
Due to a very healthy order book of new projects our client are now looking to recruit the services of an Architectural Technician, ideally a Technician who is at the early-intermediate stages of their career with circa 2-5 years approximate experience who is keen to be hands on in a small yet mighty company and be exposed to a great learning experience. Working on multiple projects you will be responsible for producing technical construction drawing packages using AutoCAD for a variety of commercial fit out projects, notably re-designing store layouts, shop frontage designs and door schedules. You will also get the opportunity to work on preparation brief and concept design stages to include feasibility studies, measured surveys, brief analysis.
Additional responsibilities for the Architectural Technician as follows;
- Technical design using 2D AutoCad, candidates with previous Revit experience would also be an advantage but not essential.
- Be capable of producing detailed construction drawing packages.
- 3D Modelling and visualisation services as and when required.
- Supporting planning applications and building control documentation.
- Project & Programme Coordination.
- Excellent presentation and client liaison skills
Experience and qualifications for the Architectural Technician;
- Degree or HNC Qualified in Architecture or Architectural Technology
- At least 2 years experience within a UK based Architectural Practice or consultancy.
- Keen to join a small but highly profitable business and be a key cog in the wheel.
- Previous experience of working in the commercial sectors.
- Demonstrable projects within your portfolio.
- Located within commuting distance of Dewsbury.
Salary depending on experience and suitability 27,000 - 32,000 per annum plus benefits, the opportunity is office based with the option of flexible working hours based on 37.5 hours per week.
