We are recruiting for a Psychologist for a mental health rehabilitation and recovery hospital.

Salary £40,528 per annum

Permanent - Part Time

Set within a safe and therapeutic environment, the hospital is a 32 bedded locked service, supporting two different service user groups:

Active rehabilitation and recovery of men with mental health issues. The emphasis is on stabilising mental health, reducing risks and enhancing independent living skills, with a view to reintegration into the community or supportive living.

Supporting men with neuro-cognitive disorders namely, dementia, and behaviours that challenge. Many have a number of physical health needs.

Enabling patients with dementia and mental health to receive a truly integrated and holistic approach to their treatment and care, regardless of complexity or severity, thanks to the knowledge and expertise of our multidisciplinary clinical teams.

The Psychologist will work closely with the hospital director/director of services/medical director. It will be the responsibility of the Lead Psychologist to ensure both the professional psychological practice and quality of the psychology department, to ensure excellence in patient experience and outcomes.

You will be a confident leader who is keen to help develop others. You will understand the dynamics of working in both hospital and other healthcare environments and be able to help offer containment and support to those who need it within a culture of compassion. You will provide leadership to the MDT and contribute to the development of services.
