Could you be our new Procurement & Supply Assistant?We have a new and exciting opportunity to join the Celebrations team based at our Bretton Park site in Dewsbury.  The role’s main objective is to provide crucial support to the Celebrations team by facilitating procurement and supply processes, actively contributing to cost reduction initiatives and managing administrative duties.To support this role, you will undertake a 12-18 month apprenticeship which will result in a level 3 qualification equivalent to A Level.The main responsibilities of the role are to:•Communicate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to develop effective relationships and networks.•Create, maintain and amend purchase order and contract records.•Interpret, evaluate and compare procurement information such as historical spend and usage using internal systems and Excel and present findings and data as appropriate.•Monitor and order products, stock, equipment and services using the appropriate procurement method.•Determine value for money and added value when evaluating process.  Apply the most economically advantageous tender criteria when evaluating quotes and tenders to support your recommendations ensuring green, low carbon, sustainability, and ethical criteria.•Utilise internal procurement computer systems.•Select suppliers, products and services for purchase and place purchase orders.•Undertake appraisal of adhoc and low spend suppliers including setting them up on the purchasing system.•Research and analyse demand, spend, trends, potential suppliers and industries utilising qualitative and quantitative methods.•Apply considerations of responsible procurement in evaluating potential suppliers, quotes and tenders.•Investigate and resolve purchase order, delivery and invoice queries.•Own low risk value and contribute to higher risk activities such as contracts with support from the wider team.•Maintain knowledge on all open orders and their status', provide assistance as required and report to the business on a weekly basis. •Consider the impact of the decision making process when interacting with the supply chain.•Support with contract negotiations where required. •Review European Deforest Regulations (EUDR) legislation and implementation across our business. •Undertake Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) tracking and validation for all materials. •Ensure vendor audit compliancy & maintenance of customer databases. We are looking for someone who can effectively communicate and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers and auditors.You should be flexible, hardworking and organised with excellent time management.   Being able to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment is key in this role.In return we can offer you a positive, inclusive culture where you will be supported throughout your apprenticeship and valued within your team and the wider business.  During the apprenticeship you will gain skills within: •Business administration •Business processes and best practice •Project management •Delivering information effectively to different areas of the business•Interpersonal skills •Professionalism •Microsoft Office Suite•Bespoke systems to UK Greetings
