Warehouse Operative / Team Leader
I’m seeking for my Client based in Batley for 2 experienced Senior Warehouse Operatives to join them on a temporary to permanent basis.
The role is hands on and will involve moving and sorting of stock which can be physically demanding at time.
Duties
- Warehouse Picking for Store Deliveries
- Forward planning
- Allocating correct numbers of personnel to relevant areas of the operation
- Be reactive with the distribution of staff in areas of high demand
- Provide regular feedback being constructive and influential
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Candidate Requirements
- This role also includes attending Festivals and Events in which our client's shop would be set up. During Festival periods, you're required to be very flexible to work around schedule, organise Volunteers, set up shop and run shopfloor. During Events, you would be required to stay over.
- Must have relevant Warehouse Team Leader skills
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including shipping/receiving, materials handling, and inventory management
- Experience of working in a large warehouse/eCommerce operation
- Have excellent planning and time management skills
- Be Health and Safety aware
- Be an effective role model demonstrating high levels of performance and productivity
Hours of Work
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 0800 – 1615
Salary
The position is offered on a temporary to permanent basis with an initial salary of 26000
