We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team at a vibrant secondary school in Dewsbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons in various aspects of design and technology to students across different year groups.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring lessons in design and technology that cater to the needs of all students.
- Utilise a range of teaching methods and technological tools to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Assess and evaluate students' work, providing constructive feedback to support their progress.
- Maintain a safe and organized workshop environment that encourages creativity and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and integrate cross-curricular themes.
- Participate in and contribute to school events, workshops, and extracurricular activities.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design and Technology or a related subject.
- Experience teaching design and technology in a secondary school setting.
- Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of the subject.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
