Stafforce are looking for an experienced Technician to set up, maintain, and repair a range of textile machinery to ensure maximum production efficiency. The role may also require working on winding/twisting machines as needed. Full training will be provided, but hands-on experience is essential.

What to expect:

Maintain and repair machines according to the planned and preventative maintenance schedule

Monitor, manage, and reduce machine downtime as necessary

Respond proactively and promptly to machine breakdowns to minimise production impact

Diagnose and resolve faults, machine emergencies, or unplanned problems systematically and logically

Contribute to the development of planned and preventative maintenance schedules

Complete work records for all maintenance activities

Work as part of a project team on the installation of new machinery

Report all safety and maintenance issues to the Managers

What we need:

Practical engineering experience with mechanical production machinery and equipment

Qualified or time-served apprenticeship, preferably in a mechanical-related background (not essential)

Ability to recognize, diagnose, and correct faults on a range of machinery and equipment

Technical competence to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings

Manual dexterity to perform all maintenance activities

Tenacity to work through problems to final completion and correction

Composure to react positively in difficult or emergency breakdown scenarios

Experience working with pneumatic equipment is a bonus but not essential
