Lab Technician / Didcot, Oxfordshire / Salary Competitive / 12-month contract / Shift Work

Are you a recent graduate or an experienced Lab Technician with a background in Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology Manufacturing? Join a leading Pharmaceutical Organisation in Oxford, working within the mRNA vaccines production unit. Contribute to the production of safe and effective vaccines by operating production equipment in compliance with cGMP and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate production equipment following standard operating procedures and manufacturing documentation.
  • Practice safe work habits and adhere to safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Participate in incident investigation and corrective action tasks.
  • Collaborate with QA peers for documentation closure and batch disposition.
  • Troubleshoot routine equipment and digital issues.
  • Perform routine basic equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain training records and documentation.
  • Flexibility to work off-hours and overtime if needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
  • University degree in pharmaceutical production technology or equivalent.
  • Experience with filtration, chromatography, and cold chain management is an advantage but not essential.
