Brook Street is recruiting on behalf of our government client for a Reception Customer Services Assistant.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional front-of-house reception and administrative duties.
  • Respond to operational needs and offer administrative support to ensure day-to-day tasks are managed effectively.
  • Deliver high-quality reception services to staff, visitors, and collaborators.
  • Act as the first point of contact with customers via various communication channels, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and effective service delivery.

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a busy customer service or reception role, maintaining professionalism and composure under pressure.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional telephone manner.
  • Proficient in IT, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and web-based applications.
  • Able to work independently and use initiative.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Confidence and experience in resolving difficult situations efficiently.
  • A proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
  • Experience in recording, managing, and extracting data from IT systems.
  • Skilled in creating and adapting spreadsheets for operational needs.
