Finance Business Partner

We are seeking a Part-Qualified Finance Business Partner (FBP) to provide high-quality financial advice, information, analysis, and interpretation to support decision-making and strategic goals within our organisation. The FBP will play a crucial role in engaging with internal stakeholders at both strategic and operational levels to ensure effective, efficient, and robust financial management.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with finance colleagues, directorates, budget holders, senior managers, and directors to support the delivery of the company’s strategy.
  • Enhance the understanding of the business model of allocated directorates, including activities, challenges, and objectives, and assess their financial impact.
  • Promote the Finance Business Partnering function by increasing awareness and transparency of financial policies, processes, and controls across the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Provide timely financial advice on the preparation of proposals and tenders, identifying associated costs, benefits, and risks.
  • Deliver strong financial analysis and insights linking financial management reports to business strategies.
  • Coordinate the development of financial plans for directorates, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Manage financial aspects of projects, including claim preparation, invoicing, monitoring, and analysis.
  • Produce accurate financial forecasts and plans, identifying potential opportunities and risks, and assist with mitigation plans.
  • Lead the preparation and execution of external project audits.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Part Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting effective financial management and reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with resilience.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning and prioritisation skills, capable of managing multiple sources.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to exercise judgement on complex financial issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying financial matters to a broad audience.
