Didcot Auto Centre is seeking a Garage Manager to oversee the smooth running of our workshop and day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on role that requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and excellent customer service skills.

Monday-Friday : 8:00 am to 4:30 pm


Key Duties & Responsibilities


Manage and oversee daily workshop operations

Plan and delegate jobs to mechanics based on their skillset

Conduct quality checks on completed work

Ensure all mechanics adhere to health & safety standards

Provide excellent customer service, resolving any concerns

Track time management of mechanics and communicate any delays or additional work to customers

Recommend strategies to market the garage and grow business

Maintain workshop cleanliness and ensure stock is organised

Order parts and perform regular stock counts

Assist with diagnostics, repairs and troubleshooting as needed

Perform administrative duties and collaborate with Directors as required



Qualifications and Experience Required


Strong leadership and team motivation skills

Experience in mechanics and ability to diagnose/repair equipment

Excellent communication and time management skills

Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads

Knowledge of H&S guidelines

Welding experience (preferred)
