Primary Purpose:

Be part of a global team supporting our client users across UK and other global offices. Identifying & fixing issues, fulfilling IT Support requests, ensuring our business is both operational and secure. Work closely with end users to deliver global IT services, responding to requests and fixing issues that help maximise availability of systems used by our internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Providing first line IT support to Achilles staff
  • Providing effective and efficient support for infrastructure, this may include equipment located in third party data centres
  • IT support and resolving issues reported by users, whilst prioritising against other tasks
  • Undertaking remedial activities to permanently resolve any IT operational issues
  • Being available if required out of hours to fix issues
  • End user hardware support and provision
  • Monitoring and analysing security and network performance, undertaking remedial activity where issues identified
  • Implementing security patches and updates onto Achilles environments
  • Planning and monitoring capacity, redundancy and hardware performance, undertaking remedial activities where required
  • Ensuring data is backed-up, tested, and recorded in accordance with ISO 27001 requirements
  • Perform data recovery when required
  • Ensure effective IT security controls are in place across Achilles

Knowledge:

  • ITIL or equivalent IT support model
  • IT Security standards and controls
  • Achilles Information Limited | 30 Western Avenue, Milton Park, Abingdon, Oxon, OX14 4SH, UK - 4 -
  • Strong Microsoft skills, including Active Directory, Windows operating systems, Office 365, SCCM
  • Anti-Virus management
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 and/or ISO 9001
  • Networking -
  • knowledge of WAN's, LANS, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, VPN's, VLAN's, IP services
