- Assemble precision research and development products and certified flight hardware.
- Conduct advanced testing, including functional, electrical, vibration, shock, thermal vacuum (TVAC) & RF.
- Develop and document detailed Manufacturing Assembly Procedures (MAPs) and Test Procedures.
- Perform detailed inspections of machined parts using precision metrology equipment.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Participate in internal and customer reviews, effectively communicating project milestones.
- Visit suppliers and subcontractors to monitor progress and ensure quality compliance when required.
- Strong background in precision assembly of high-value components.
- Demonstrable experience with precision metrology equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of assembly & testing processes, including:
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings, including tolerances and material specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Proven ability to write and implement assembly and test procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a pragmatic and logical approach.
- Flexible attitude towards working hours to meet project schedules (e.g., overtime or weekends).
- Previous experience in the space sector or other highly regulated industries.
- Apprenticeship or formal training in mechanical engineering.
- Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and precision components.
