General Context of job:

Are you ready to make a difference? ATA Sameday is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual, to join us as a full time Logistics Coordinator! The candidate will ensure the smooth running of customer accounts and understand client needs and requirements, setting up processes and integrations to help gather data. The candidate will be required to offer exceptional communication and quick responses to any queries and quotation requests.

Overall Purpose of Job

To be the point of contact to the client: fulfil the needs of the customer, ensuring that the process is followed and information documented. To ensure billing details are correct for each consignment and to communicate this with the accounts department.

Key duties and responsibilities, include:

Answer all communications in a timely manner on the different platforms we use.

Respond and action all requests immediately.

To establish and quote on the correct vehicle size to ensure the most effective and cost efficient vehicle is assigned to the transport requirement based on load size and weight.

Assist with recruitment to help fill open driver positions and cater for all existing contracts.

Maintain a positive relationship with all existing customers.

Ensure we are compliant with all contractors we engage

feed back on how we can streamline the processes to better and improve efficiency.

compare prices between other couriers to ensure our prices remain competitive within our market.

Ensure that customer contact and account details are kept up to date for fluid accounting.

General administrative tasks.

Key attributes, qualifications, qualities, and experience required:

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalise ideas.

A drive for sales, to assist and help the business grow.

The ability to multitask.

Great organisation skills.

The will to succeed.

Logistics experience preferred but not essential.
