We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee the operations of our warehouse between 15:00 - 23:00 .

The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient, safe and timely operation of all warehouse activities, including the loading and unloading of vehicles, stock management and ensuring line haul trailers depart on time. You will be responsible for managing key performance indicators, ensuring scanning tasks and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities;

Oversee warehouse processes such as unloading/loading vehicles, stock placement, and ensuring accuracy in scanning tasks.

Develop and manage staffing rotas, monitoring attendance and adjusting shifts to meet demand during peak periods.

Lead daily team meetings to communicate tasks, set targets, and provide operational updates.

Analyse warehouse data and implement process improvements,coaching team members where necessary.

Conduct daily team meetings to communicate tasks, targets, and operational updates.

Collaborate with the Warehouse Administrator and Operations Manager to conduct risk assessments and maintain H&S compliance.

Manage recruitment efforts to ensure staffing levels meet operational needs, maintaining a pipeline of potential hires.

Oversee the timely departure of line haul trailers and meet delivery schedules.

Supervise the handling,picking, and loading of goods, ensuring care and efficiency in all operations.

Maintain warehouse cleanliness, manage equipment and ensure all staff wear proper PPE.

Report accidents and incidents promptly, ensuring accurate records.


Key Skills & Experience:


Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with teams, stakeholders and clients.

Proven experience in managing time and workloads in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Ability to write,update and communicate Standard Operating Procedures for consistent operations.

Familiarity with ISO27001 standards for information security (desirable but not essential)

A proactive problem-solver with the ability to anticipate and resolve operations challenges.

High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in operations and reporting.

Experience with physical tasks such as equipment operation and goods handling.

Forklift truck licence.

Fire Marshall Certificate

H&S Accreditation
