Moston are proud to be working with a leading facilities management company in supporting them in their search for an Air Conditioning Engineer. This role is working with Moderna, a leading biotechnology company at the forefront of mRNA therapeutics and vaccine development, to support their state-of-the-art Moderna Innovation and Technology Centre (MITC) in Oxfordshire.
The MITC, located at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, comprises cutting-edge manufacturing, laboratory, clean room, and office facilities, playing a crucial role in the development and production of Moderna’s pharmaceutical products. Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, along with a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to work within a world-class research and manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in accordance with the maintenance schedule, ensuring all tasks are logged and documented in real time.
- Complete and submit all required documentation for PPM, reactive, and breakdown works promptly.
- Update the customer’s CAFM system in real time with job progress, providing a full description of completed tasks and highlighting any follow-up requirements.
- Conduct reactive maintenance tasks and proactively identify areas for operational improvements.
- Diagnose and record plant failures, issuing detailed reports and quotations for necessary remedial works.
- Ensure swift resolution of plant faults and defects to maintain operational efficiency.
- Maintain appropriate spare parts inventory, providing parts lists and estimated completion times for remedial works.
- Conduct Point of Work Risk Assessments (POWRA) prior to commencing any task to ensure a safe working environment.
- Adhere to Method Statements and Risk Assessments to ensure compliance with safety protocols at all times.
- Participate in the on-call rota, including out-of-hours maintenance support as required.
Candidate Requirements
- F-Gas 2079 Category 1 certification.
- City & Guilds qualifications in Air Conditioning.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Proficient in IT systems and able to update maintenance logs accurately.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong team player, adaptable to change.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours support.
