Reed Accountancy Oxfordhsire are currently working with a forward thinking Harwell based organisation seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Advisor to join our team and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for their 800 employees on a temporary part time basis. This role is for around 3 months and has the possibility of becoming permanent if this works out for both parties. Paying an hourly rate of up to £18.19per hour, this role would need someone to start by the end of April.

Key Responsibilities:As a Payroll Advisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Payroll Processing:
    • Calculating and inputting payroll information.
    • Maintaining accurate employee pay records, including starters, leavers, and changes.
    • Processing variable payments such as overtime and bonuses.
    • Handling statutory payments, including maternity, paternity, and other statutory payments.
    • Administering employee pension schemes, including contributions calculation and reporting.
    • Preparing PAYE settlement agreements (PSA).
    • Performing finance report preparation and reconciliations.
    • Administering employee benefits such as Cyclescheme, Childcare Vouchers, and Employee Benefits Platform.
    • Participating in payroll system upgrades and testing.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in payroll processing and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and pension schemes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
