Senior Media Officer

Location: Oxfordshire, South East

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract (6-8 months, potential for permanent)

Hybrid - 1-2 days per week Oxfordshire office attendance

Basic Salary £37,000-£40,000 with benefits including  28 days holiday plus two additional days off as a ‘garden day’ and ‘gift day’. About the Role

Our client, a prominent Environment Trade Association, is seeking a Senior Media Officer to join their Media Team. This role offers an opportunity to influence the perception of UK environmental horticulture and enhance the organisation’s reputation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage media relations and press office processes.
  • Develop and execute media plans, ensuring timely communication.
  • Engage with stakeholders and media contacts to enhance collaboration.
  • Create impactful press releases and media content.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years of media relations experience.
  • Strong communication, networking, and persuasive writing skills.
  • Experience with digital and social media platforms.
  • Journalism, CIPR or equivalent qualifications
  • Previous experience within an in-house press office setting
