WHAT TO EXPECT
A busy environment that will require a practical, motivated and enthusiastic individual to cover duties in the Control Room of a busy Passenger Service Vehicle depot. Operating to the highest standards ensuring that customers get the service they deserve. So, if you are a people person, can resolve difficult situations in a friendly and polite manner, then this role could be for you.
 

What you'll do as the Service Controller:

  • Supervise the depot run-out / run-in
  • Ensure correct, safe, legal and efficient operation of the bus services
  • Deal with outside agencies e.g Local Authorities
  • Conduct on-bus revenue protection checks and roadside observation duties
  • Complaint investigations
  • Coach and support drivers daily
  • Working knowledge of health and safety with the willingness to obtain the IOSH Qualification
  • Support the Engineering Team with vehicle queries

What you'll need to be a Service Controller:

  • Work flexibly either alone or as part of a team
  • Experience of staff rostering
  • Ability to write reports
  • Be able to organise and motivate in challenging conditions
  • Must hold a category B manual licence and PCV licence.
