Our client, an award-winning and established business based in Penarth, is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day bookkeeping: Processing invoices, managing accounts payable/receivable, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Bank reconciliations: Ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and balances are maintained.
  • VAT returns: Preparing and submitting VAT returns in line with HMRC guidelines.
  • Payroll support: Assisting with payroll processing, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Assisting with month-end processes: Supporting the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Liaising with clients and suppliers: Handling queries, reconciling statements, and ensuring smooth communication.
  • Supporting senior accountants: Providing assistance with any ad hoc tasks as required.

What we're looking for:

  • 3-4 years of experience in accountancy practice, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and processes.
  • AAT Level 3 or 4 qualification.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented individual who can manage their own workload effectively.
