Production Manager

up to 58,000 plus company pension & full benefits package

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to join an industry leading manufacturer just outside of Hereford. If you are looking for a new management role in manufacturing with great variety, job satisfaction, excellent ongoing support and genuine prospects for progression then this is the role for you.

The company in question has an excellent reputation internationally and serves a large number of high profile clients all of the world.

As Production Manager you will:

- Be responsible for motivating, leading and engaging Production Supervisors and shop floor operators in an extrusion environment

- Ensure that the daily plan is adhered to, and achieved by the production team

- Be responsible for achieving output while meeting and exceeding productivity targets by reviewing and planning for daily, weekly, and quarterly labour requirements and equipment as well as tooling and supply requirements

- Lead the team in developing and implementing effective systems for improving internal and external quality, cost improvements and on-time delivery.

- Be accountable for daily analysis of variable labour costs and work with Production Supervisors and Team leaders to determine required staffing levels.

- Carry out management responsibilities including recruiting, and training employees; planning, directing work; evaluating and appraising individual performance.

- Control departmental budgets and be responsible for HSE on the shop floor

- Showcase your continuous improvement and lean manufacturing experience. You will need to be the owner of 6S and attend weekly meetings with senior members of the management team.
