As part of their growth strategy, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to join their team.
As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design team through the design process from concept through to construction, ensuring compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the design process for civil engineering projects.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Manage design risks, identify solutions, and drive value engineering initiatives.
Oversee the production of drawings, models, and technical documentation.
Monitor design progress, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
Support project teams with technical expertise during the construction phase.
Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong knowledge of design codes, standards, and regulations.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively.
