About Us:

Newhall Mains is a Michelin Key hotel situated in the the Scottish Highlands. With its own private airfield, restaurant, whisky bar and unrivalled approach to detail, we are hoping to build out one of the leading hospitality businesses in the country.

The Role:

We are looking for a hands-on individual with the imaginative capacity to create a vibrant seasonal menu alongside catering to a range of private events involving both indoor and outdoor cooking.

We are a family-run business, which takes pride in using locally-sourced produce, and we are looking for someone who can build on this ethos. We are fortunate enough to have access to a wonderful selection of local ingredients, so a passion for fresh food and an ability to forge relationships with local suppliers is key.

The Ideal Candidate:

This position would suit either an established chef or a hardworking and talented sous chef who is hungry for a step up in their career for a Head Chef position.

Strong team ethic, always showing respect for your colleagues.

A good working knowledge and interest in the provenance of food is essential.

A self-starter who is comfortable working independently and happy to hit the ground running.

Excellent knowledge of menus, ingredients, allergens and adherence to all Food Safety and hygiene standards.
