About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of our restaurant. This position requires a strong understanding of culinary techniques and food safety standards. The Sous Chef will be responsible for ensuring high-quality food production while maintaining a positive and efficient kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery.

Skills

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with food production processes and hospitality industry standards.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

What we can offer you:

Full time £34,000 - £38,000 per year, plus tips

28x days annual holiday (pro-rated)
