Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Engineer to join their team based in Dingwall on a full time, permanent basis. We are looking for a motivated and skilled Engineer to and those with a strong background in working with large machinery, as well as mechanical and electrical systems, are encouraged to apply.

Job Description:

  • This role involves ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimisation of equipment to achieve safe and efficient production
  • Oversee the operation, installation, and maintenance of machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues to minimise downtime and enhance productivity.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment.
  • Assist with the optimisation of the production process and machinery to improve throughput and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure all machinery complies with safety regulations and standards.
  • Provide technical support to other personnel, including guidance on the safe and efficient operation of machinery.
  • Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Work collaboratively with external contractors and suppliers as needed.
  • Contribute to the selection and procurement of tools, materials, and spare parts.
  • Participate in training and development to keep up-to-date with technological advancements in machinery and control systems.

Person Specification:

  • Experience working with large industrial machinery.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC programming (beneficial but not essential).
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
