Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
- Support with the budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring they are accurate and comply with company policy.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Provide insightful cost analysis and reports, identifying key trends and business opportunities.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and drive business performance.
- Support ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team
The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to build a career in a vibrant business and will either be AAT Qualified, Qualified by experience, or Part Qual ACCA/ACA/CIMA. You will ideally come with a an understanding and some exposure to month end accounting. If you are looking to step in to this type of role this could be a great opportunity. The candidate will possess excellent numerical and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role requires effective collaboration with various departments and stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software is expected, and a proactive, solutions-driven approach to problem-solving will be key to success in this position. While prior experience in a similar accounting or finance role is beneficial, it is not a prerequisite, as a willingness to learn and develop is of utmost importance.Salary DOE: £25,000- £30,000
