Audit Senior – Diss (Competitive Salary + Benefits)

We are working with a highly regarded and growing accountancy firm to recruit a full-time Audit Senior for their team based in Diss. This is an exciting opportunity for an AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part or fully qualified professional looking to further their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.

The Role:

As an Audit Senior, you will be involved in all aspects of audit work, primarily focusing on SME clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting on-site audit assignments and supporting the wider audit team
  • Ensuring compliance with International Auditing Standards (IAS) and technical standards
  • Preparing audit summaries and discussion points for managers or partners
  • Managing client expectations, handling queries, and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Adhering to agreed budgets and deadlines for client work
  • Producing statutory disclosures in line with Companies House and FRS102 requirements
  • Contributing to ad-hoc tasks and special assignments as needed
The Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidate will have previous experience in an accountancy practice, particularly with SME audits, and will demonstrate strong commercial awareness. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both written and oral, is essential, as is a proactive and positive attitude. You should also be comfortable working as part of a team or independently.

Knowledge of IRIS Accountancy Suite, Myworkpapers, Inflo, Xero, and Sage would be advantageous but is not essential. The role may involve some travel to other offices in the region, so flexibility in this regard is required.
