Founded in 2010, my client is an environmental consultancy specialising in ecology, landscape and arboriculture.For the past decade, their team has grown, and their expertise has developed in order to deliver the highest quality and cost-effective surveys for every client.

Their team is small but full of knowledge, experience and passion. They invest in external training courses and research material to ensure they stay at the leading edge of scientific research into ecology-related issues. This continuous development allows them to adapt to any projects that head their way.

Over the years, they have worked on a variety of ventures, from house extensions and barn conversions through to larger scale projects. These include multiple wind turbine sites, solar farms, major housing developments, road and bridge projects, and wetland creation schemes.

Your new roleThey are looking for a passionate graduate or seasonal Ecologist to join them for the busy survey season ahead to conduct surveys across East Anglia. This will be a fixed-term contract from March until around October. There is a possibility of a permanent position at the end of the contract.Responsibilities:

* Supporting the current team of ecologists working on a variety of projects.* Survey support and logistical planning.* Ecological surveying and biological data collection.* Producing quality-assured ecology deliverables.* Report writing What you'll need to succeed* Aptitude or enthusiasm for a career in ecology (degree, or keen naturalist).* Ideally, experience in ecological survey and ECoW.* Eligibility for CIEEM membership.* Capable of managing a challenging workload subject to change at short notice.* Ability to write clear, concise reports.* You must be a good team player with a willingness to work remotely.* Happy to travel to site as required; hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.What you'll get in return* Competitive salary: £24,500 - £26,000 p/annum (pro rata for seasonal contract).* Exposure to a range of ecology surveys.* Training on the job as necessary.* Potential for a full-time contract at the end of the season.
