Electrical Technician - Power Station

Diss

Circa 45,000 + Benefits (Monday to Friday)

We are currently looking for an Electrical Technician or Engineer with Electrical Experience with relevant experience to work on a Monday to Friday basis within a Biomass Power Station in Suffolk.

Alecto Recruitment are currently working with a Large Power Generation Company that have multiple facilities across the UK.

Package Details

  • Salary is around 45,000 a year.
  • This role is worked on a Monday to Friday.

Job Brief

To support the Engineering Team with all Operational Electrical Engineering.

During this role, you will be required to;

  • Work alongside a shift team of skilled workers.
  • Provide advice and expertise on the current running of the plant when requested.
  • Comply with all health and safety to the highest standard.
  • Monitor performance and standards on shift.
  • Assist Management and Supervisors with plant running.
  • Carry out preventative, responsive and pre-planned maintenance.
  • Complete work on Controls Systems and PLC's.
  • Use CMMS Systems to comply with existing site procedures.

Requirements

  • MUST hold either 17th or 18th Edition.
  • Ideally hold an HNC, Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  • Should have completed an Apprenticeship within Engineering.
  • Proven experience within Heavy Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience within a Waste, Recycling, Power or Process plant Facility.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and Controls Systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

The Person

  • This role would suit an experienced person with experience within any Heavy Industry environment.
  • This opportunity comes with a vast amount of training and a clear progression route within the company.
  • Ideally someone with the eye for detail and good communication skills.
