Location: Harleston, Needham

Salary: £44,000

Full time: Permanent

Hours: 06:00 - 14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00 Monday - Friday (2-week rotating shift)

Your role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Technician to join our client’s Engineering team. The Engineering Technician is primarily responsible for delivering preventative, corrective, and reactive support to the operations team across all aspects of the site assets and infrastructure and to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the manufacturing equipment.

As an experienced Engineering Technician, you will be able to complete the designated preventative maintenance tasks, identify potential failures and plan and execute corrective maintenance tasks. Being able to identify potential engineering / operational solutions to reoccurring failures and to implement and complete resolutions will also be required.

An effective team member, you will demonstrate high levels of Health and Safety awareness as well as excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, mechanical power systems and the ability to interpret and amend technical, mechanical and electrical drawings would be beneficial. Presenting a problem-solving can-do attitude will be key to success.

A minimum of an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering related subject, ideally Mechatronics is required and 5 years or more experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
