Night Shift Multiskilled Engineer Based in Diss £50,000 Per Annum  Monday to Friday Night shift 10:00pm to 6:00am Monday to Thursday and Friday 5.00pm to 10.30pmRole OverviewYou will be working within a complex engineering environment and will be responsible for providing a quick responsive service to the site’s Operation’s Team. You will ensure that high levels of machine availability, efficiency, reliability, safety and quality standards are achieved and improved upon. You will also be responsible for providing effective and long term solutions to continuously improve machine reliability.  Duties include, but not limited to:  
  • Identification and recovery of fault situations on all processing equipment and ancillary devise.
  • Ensuring all systems are completed efficiently – Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Electrical.
  • Fault finding on AC/DC Drives – Siemens.
  • Fault finding on steam systems and resolving.
  • Monitoring and adjusting equipment and process conditions to ensure that “right first time” quality is achieved.
  • Maximising equipment utilisation by carrying out effective preventative maintenance procedures, timely calibration and routine safety checks on all processing equipment.
  • Promoting an environment of continuous improvement at all times and participating in process optimisation projects when appropriate.
  • Installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Any other task that may need carrying out.
  Candidate attributes:  
  • Electrical and Mechanical experience – to be able to understand electrical isolation techniques and pneumatic and hydraulic techniques.
  • Knowledge of Siemens S5, S7 and Allen Brady PLCs would be desirable.
  • Practical experience in electrical and mechanical repairs.
  • HNC or Apprenticeship qualified in either mechanical or electrical or both – essential.
  • Extensive practical experience in the opposite if only qualified in one area.
