Michelle Denny Recruitment is working alongside Hayward Moon local property lawyers located in the heart of Diss in their search for a keen, resourceful and enthusiastic Conveyancing Assistant. This successful expanding practice is offering excellent career progression opportunities for the right candidate wishing to enhance their conveyancing skills.

Salary is between £23k - £25k depending on your level of experience, with hours of 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday (35 hours per week). The role comes with starting annual leave of 23 days, plus bank holidays. The salary for this position is experience-based and regularly reviewed, ensuring fair rewards for your hard work and progression. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the conveyancing team and assist in the management of the practice’s busy workload. You will have the opportunity to enhance your conveyancing skills and knowledge, alongside supporting the team in general administrative tasks.

Duties will include:

  • Providing reception support, meeting & greeting visitors
  • Answering incoming calls and manage email traffic alongside dealing with general update enquiries from clients, estate agents and other third parties.
  • Certifying client ID and compliance checks, drafting standard documentation and correspondence.
  • Carry out land registry searches.
  • Setting up new client files and initial correspondence, creating and send mortgage reports/contract reports.
  • Providing support in exchanging contracts and setting up of completions of the transaction
  • Monitor external portals for updates/action
  • Request searches and management packs.

What you’ll need:

  • Ideally at least 2-3 years recent conveyancing experience.
  • A polite and friendly disposition with a can-do attitude.
  • Excellent IT and communication skills
  • To be able to multi-skill, be well organised with strong administration skills.
  • To be a team player with the ability to prioritise tasks and work on your own initiative with a 'can do' attitude.
